Trail Projects
WISE works with local schools to deliver interpretation techniques to students for them to develop educational interpretive trails near their schools for classes and visitors.
WISE has been
actively involved in developing two new trail systems in the Copper River Valley. In partnership with the Copper River School District, Bureau of Land Management. Kenny Lake Soil & Water Conservation Ass., Alaska Bible College, AHTNA, and the National Resource Development Council, interpretive trails have been established in Glennallen and the Kenny Lake area. These trails are used by the local schools as outdoor education classrooms as well as by the general public for recreation and interpretive programs.

WISE in partner with National Park Service developed training and mentoring of students to research and design the interpretive signs for the trail. Funding for these trails was secured from the Alaska Trails System TRAAK Board
